XgridLite

XgridLite, an add-on for Mac OS X Tiger's System Preferences application, enables Apple's Xgrid distributed computing solution on the standard version of Mac OS X Tiger. If you don't need the advanced features of Mac OS X Tiger Server's Xgrid controller but still want to run your own grid, XgridLite is for you.

With XgridLite, you can:

Turn on and off the built-in Xgrid controller with a single click.
Set passwords for client and agent authentication.
Reset the controller to default settings.
Find XgridLite with Spotlight.

XgridLite is free to download and try for 15 days. To keep using it, you can purchase a license for $15.

With version 1.0.1, XgridLite is a Universal Binary: it runs on both PowerPC- and Intel-based Macs.
